West named director of National Center for Asphalt Technology
July 20, 2007 10:28 am General, PublicityAuburn University’s National Center for Asphalt Technology has named Randy C. West as director effective Aug. 1. The center, a joint effort between the National Asphalt Pavement Association Research and Education Foundation and AU, works to improve hot mix asphalt performance through research, education and information services.
West brings more than 20 years of experience in the hot mix asphalt industry, including experience at NCAT, to the position of NCAT director. He joined NCAT in 1996 and later became assistant director, leading research on a broad range of pavement issues.
