Auburn’s Oct. 13 game at Arkansas will start at 6:45 p.m. and be televised by ESPN, the Southeastern Conference announced today.
The game will mark the third time this season that Auburn has appeared on ESPN and the fifth overall night game.
Auburn has won its last two games at Razorbacks Stadium. Arkansas defeated Auburn 27-10 at Jordan-Hare Stadium last year.

Senior basketball player Frank Tolbert was arrested for drunk driving last Thursday, police say, moments after he allegedly drove through a fence at an impound lot to retrieve his SUV.
Auburn police Capt. Tom Stofer said Tolbert, 21, jumped a fence at United Auto Collision in Auburn, where his vehicle had been towed for parking in a restricted area. To exit the lot, Tolbert allegedly drove through a metal gate, causing $1,500 in damage.
A nearby witness called police, who initiated a traffic stop at 3:17 a.m. last Thursday and subsequently arrested Tolbert for driving under the influence, Stofer said. Stofer said it is the department’s policy not to release the estimated blood-alcohol content of arrested persons.
The owner of the lot swore out a warrant for Tolbert the next day, and Tolbert was arrested last Friday at 4:29 p.m. on a third-degree criminal mischief charge in connection with the damaged property, Stofer said.
The second arrest was widely reported in the media last week, but the DUI first appeared on the front page of today’s edition of The Auburn Plainsman, the university’s student newspaper.
Tolbert started in 28 of 32 games last year, averaging 11.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. A native of River Falls, Tolbert was a standout at Red Level High. He is one of three seniors on Auburn’s roster.
Head coach Jeff Lebo had no immediate comment on the arrests. “Coach Lebo won’t have a comment until all facts are gathered from the incident,” Auburn spokesman Chuck Gallina said.

Briarwood Christian School senior quarterback Barrett Trotter will announce his commitment to play football at Auburn University next season today at 2:40 p.m. press conference at the BCS football team room, said Briarwood Christian coach Fred Yancey.
Trotter has completed 66-of-96 passes for 931 yards and 12 touchdowns with only one interception through the Lions’ first four games. He set a career high with five touchdown passes in the Lions’ 36-21 win over Benjamin Russell on Sept. 14. The 6-foot-1, 197-pound quarterback passed for 2,414 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior.
Trotter will be Auburn’s 15th pledge in the Class of 2008. Trotter, who chose the Tigers over scholarship offers from UAB, Troy, Duke, Army and Samford, will be the third Briarwood player to commit to play college football next year. Senior linebacker Bo Walters has committed to Mississippi State University, while senior defensive end Alex Davis has committed to Samford University.

I would like to take a minute of your time to THANK EVERYONE we encountered while in Auburn yesterday for the game. It took until we were leaving for us to even hear 1 negative comment towards our team or us. We are used to being cussed, spit at and having things thrown at our team. What an AWESOME and refreshing return to the South for me. My wife had never experienced “Southern Hospitality” before even though we are from Texas. We were treated with respect and chivalry from the time we pulled into Auburn. Our walk down College towards the stadium was sprinkled with “Good Luck, Welcome to Auburn”, “Want something to eat”, How about a cold drink……………and the list could go on. Absolutely beautiful Southern Belles that wanted to have their picture taken with us.
Thanks to our host at their tailgate party who insisted we not walk past without having a beer and bbq. I never made it to the tailgate we were invited to becasue your fans are too damn nice. We made it about 1/3 of the way around the North end of the stadium in 4 hours.
Once inside I got to experience WAR EAGLE and what SEC football really is, tv does it no justice. WOW, and this was with the stadium empty. To touch the hedge was incredible. Then the orange crush of rabid Tiger fans began to fill in and while getting their game face on, they were still polite and courteous, OF COURSE. I took over 1,500 pictures yesterday and will try to put a few up to show you our gratitude. I also took 2 pieces of “the hedge” with me after the game 1 for my son and the other for my sister the SEC football nut stuck in West Texas.
The the absolutely most awesome sight in the world happened just above me and thanks to the security guard I captured every moment of WAR EAGLE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I got goose bumps and chills. As I searched for a perch to take some pictures form the North endzone a trooper told me to “find my seat”. I knew where it was, but didn’t want to vacate so once again your Southern Hospitality came through. Several Auburn faithful moved around so I could have a place to shoot some shots of our Aggie team. It was only after the wheels shot off in the 3rd qtr that I thought I should leave and let them enjoy the moment of Auburn Football coming alive again.
After the game our team was praised for it’s play and welcomed back to Auburn anytime we care to come back. The walk back to our car seemed so much longer than the one going in, but once again we were greeted by your AWESOME fans. Our team buses were cheered and applauded as the exited the stadium. What Class.
I was told 2 weeks ago by a poster on our board that unruly behavior is the norm and if I didn’t like it maybe I should stay home and not watch my son play college football. Each and every one of your fans confirmed to me that he was full of crap. Thanks so much for restoring my faith in America and the values so many of us stand for.
Their was one Auburn fan I would like to thank in closing, he was the drunk frat guy who yelled “Aggies Suck” as I left the stadium. I knew out of 83, 700 + that there had to be at least one that would drop his guard. His friends did shut him up and apologized for him, damn them….I thought I finally had something negative to say about Auburn and the Tiger fans.

Auburn freshman punter Patrick Tatum has been named the Southeastern Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Tatum punted four times during Auburn’s 55-20 victory over New Mexico State last Saturday for a 45.5-yard average. None of his four punts were returned, and all four were placed inside the 20-yard line.

The Auburn football game on Oct. 6 against Vanderbilt at Jordan-Hare Stadium will be televised by Lincoln Financial Sports, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday. Kickoff is slated for 11:30 a.m. CT.
It will mark the second time this year the Tigers have been on Lincoln Financial Sports. Auburn’s 19-14 loss to Mississippi State on Sept. 15 was televised by LFS.

Career Development Services is hosting the Career Expo Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.
The Career Expo provides an opportunity for students and alumni of all majors to view exhibits from businesses and organizations. Participants have the chance to investigate career options, meet recruiters and begin or continue the job search. Representatives will be recruiting for internship, career and summer job opportunities.
Tuesday is for business and non-technical majors. Wednesday is for engineering and technical majors. Participants are expected to dress professionally and bring copies of their resume to distribute.
